A lack of education is one of the factors that imprison people in a life of poverty. Assisting a teacher in a church-sponsored school or helping to tutor children can make a major difference in a child's life.

No formal training is required.

Flexibility with the Kenyan educational style and method is important.

Ability in basic arts and crafts is helpful but not required.

You will have the opportunity to live with one of the church families during your stay and immerse yourself in the culture of Nairobi. You might want to plan a few extra days to experience a Safari and visit a Maasai village.

Through such projects, LEAMIS promotes transformational development by empowering local pastors and believers with the tools and resources they need to impact their communities for Christ. The goal is to multiply the impact by empowering local persons to share what they know with others rather than depending on outside help.
