What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
As a volunteer on one of our Serve Teams you will get to play a role in growing partnerships with a local Belizean ministry. During the week you will get to help serve in under-developed areas. This will include ministering in villages to the locals by providing outreach activities such as relational discipleship and construction projects. A key aspect of this trip is to connect with the Belizean body of Christ and to equip them to reach the lost or underdiscipled. All activities are throughly organized and networked through our WGO staff. On occasion we also facilitate medical teams to come and help in varied ministry opportunities for a week. We host about 2-4 medical teams throughout the year.
Gather your own team from your church, school, Christian group, or even just your family! With the great weather we have in Belize a team can come just about any month of the year! We are always ready for you!

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
By partnering with Belizean ministries and equipping the local body of Christ, we focus on sustainability and long-term access to the gospel. After the Serve Teams leave, the partner ministry provides the follow-up & discipleship training to those reached during the week. Our staff encourages, trains, and follows up with the Belizean church pastors and leaders to work for long term change.
This can be done through mutual work on construction, outreach, worship, evangelism, and/or medical teams. Our goal for the short-term team is to take advantage of the connections the team makes while they are here. Here is a breakdown at how we utilize the short-term team.
Ten team members can connect and spend 6 hours a day meeting, working, and having a relationship with those we serve. That is 60 hours a day, for 4 days for a total of 240 hours of possible ministry connection. That would take a staff member 5 weeks’ worth of work to have the same amount of time at a single location. Having the exposure and ability to identify relationships through the short-term experience opens the door for more effective ministry and follow up. It is exciting to maximize the efforts of the Belizean body of Christ to expand His Kingdom!!!
Additional Trip Information
There is also an option of a Fun Tourist Day that would be additional to the $950.
Mission Trip Offered By World Gospel Outreach
WGO is excited to be receiving groups that range from 6-30 plus people! If you are a serve team leader and have further questions please contact Serve Team Manager Melissa at [email protected]. World Gospel Outreach (WGO) is serving the spiritually lost in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and in Belmopan, Belize by meeting both physical and most importantly spiritual needs. We seek to show people the love of Jesus Christ through ministry. The ministry consists of…
Medical/Outreach Serve Teams
In Honduras, Short-term mission teams provide medical, dental, and optical care to the less developed areas in and around the outlining communities of the Capital city, Tegucigalpa. In 2015, we opened our campus in Belize and are excited to have Outreach Serve Teams (in more rural and less populated areas), construction, and community outreach teams come to serve alongside WGO missionaries and Nationals of Belize.
Rancho Ebenezer (Honduras)
An 80-acre campus serves as home to abandoned or displaced children from birth to 18 years of age. We provide caring homes, excellent Christian education with a bilingual emphasis, and vocational training to our young at-risk population. Here, children experience a loving family life under the guidance of attentive caregivers and Mentor Parents who look to their physical and spiritual needs daily, teaching them to trust Jesus Christ with their lives.
