What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Spain, the “mother country” for Latin American culture, remains one of the most spiritually needy countries in the world. Different historical factors have led to a secular nation of practical atheists deeply resistant to the gospel. Over 7,000 cities and towns remain bereft of any vibrant witness for Jesus Christ. Liebenzell missionaries and its partners work closely with national believers, using every possible means of creative outreach for evangelism and leadership training toward the establishment of transformational local churches around the country.
NOTE: We are able to send only US citizens at this time
What do the interns do?
We work closely with an established church and a seminary.
The interns will serve in a variety of ministries such as hospital outreach, clothing closets, VBS or church ministry and other areas of local outreach and community helps. All interns will take Spanish classes during their first week.
Where do the interns live?
Our interns live with a Spanish host home that is a part of one of our churches or ministries (seminary). This is a great way to practice one’s Spanish.
Who do the interns work with?
The interns work with our team of Liebenzell missionaries and partners currently serving in Sevilla and surrounding area, as well as with the church leadership, seminary students and faculty and lay staff.
Language School
We have a language school on site. You will have the option of going a week or more early to do language school which is 4 hours a day. Cost is 120E a week per person.

Founded in 1899, Liebenzell Mission began as a German mission agency, to support the gospel work that Hudson Taylor began in Asia through China Inland Mission. Iniitally focused on outreach to islands in the Asian Pacific, Liebenzell Mission continued to expand it’s reach across the 20th century, with Liebenzell USA being founded in 1941. Today Liebenzell USA supports 38 missionaries across 7 different mission fields around the world.
Our goal remains the same as it was then: to reach the least, the last and the lost by mobilizing missionaries and their supporters to go and make disciples of all nations.
