Big Creek Missions offers customized, affordable Appalachian mission trips for a suggested donation of $35 per person, per day! When you partner with Big Creek Missions, you are supporting ongoing year-round missions efforts in Rural Appalachia. You'll work hand-in-hand with our staff missionaries who serve year-round at our two mission centers. For 18 years, we've been sharing and showing the Gospel to our community, and would be honored to serve with you. Your donation covers your food, bunk style lodging with beds/mattress/hot showers, ministry/construction supplies, staffing, and more. You only need to provide transportation! Our well-organized and focused mission centers offer construction, interpersonal ministries, evangelistic opportunities, and community outreach ministries throughout the year.

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Big Creek Missions operates two year-round mission centers in two of the poorest counties in the United States.  Based in Leslie and Floyd Counties in Kentucky, our mission centers seek to meet many of the basic needs of our residents by connecting our volunteer mission teams with those needs.

The areas we serve are former coal-towns with incredibly high rates of unemployment, drug use, broken families, and additional challenges.  Our goal is to show and share the love of Christ and see lives transformed by His grace!

At both mission locations, we offer:

Home Repairs
Food Pantry Service
Community Outreach Ministries
Children's Programs (depending on team experience)

Your team can join with us as we serve our community and show  the the love of Christ!  Our staff will work with your team to challenge them to serve with passion here AND at home when they return to their true mission field.

Suggested daily donation for teams: $35 per person per day
Trips can be customized according to your schedule (you set the arrival and departure dates)
Food is included!  Our staff eat with our teams – and we like good food 🙂
Accomodations are included at both mission centers (bunk-style, boys dorms / girls dorms, AC & Heat, Hot showers with unlimited hot water)
Food, Accomodations, and ministry support are included in your minimum donation. Additional donations for construction materials are always appreciated!
