We would like you to join our TWR family in West Africa and help us keep broadcasting God's Word and love in West Africa. If you have experience with the maintenance of machinery and buildings and would like to use those gifts in the spread of the Gospel, then this may be the place for you. The 400-acre transmitter site has diesel generators, antennas, vehicles, tractors, and other machinery which need oversight, along with the buildings. We look forward to hearing from you!

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Participate in maintenance of antenna towers and associated diesel equipment, TWR vehicles, transmitter building, studio building and 400-acre TWR-site, missionary residences and mission vehicles.

Core Competencies: Commitment to Jesus Christ evidenced by a personal relationship. Excitement about being involved in full-time missions and willingness to develop a team of prayer and financial partners. Cultural sensitivity within international teams and a team spirit. Ability to manage priorities and workflow with attention to detail. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and make basic repairs. Ability to work outdoors in hot, humid conditions.

Responsibilities: Operation and maintenance of diesel generators. Vehicle, tractor and other machinery maintenance. Participate in maintenance of towers and associated hardware, at heights above 500’. Execute basic repairs of HVAC, small motors, fans, etc. Repair and maintain fences, roofing, painting, grounds, etc.

Desirable Qualifications: Mechanical and electrical background. Experience with diesel engines. Knowledge of tower structures and support systems, along with a familiarity with standard rigging practices and metal structure maintenance. Proficient in French or a willingness to attend language school.

This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct-hire job), so the future employee must develop a team of partners who provide financially for his/her full salary and benefits. We provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach their financial support goals. If you go as a volunteer, you can raise funds for your travel and a per diem to cover meals and lodging.
