TIME Missions' "TIME for Sports" ministry grew out of a national missionary's passion for sharing Jesus, and his love for basketball!  Many of the national pastors and local churches that TIME partners with would love to serve those in their communities who spend more time on the court than in church.  As a result, TIME Missions, with your partnership, take the court to them!  And it's not just about the sports, during each activity, we share Jesus through Bible studies and testimonies.  Your testimony can relate to and encourage nationals in their walk with Jesus.  Very few will become professional athletes, but all will face eternity!

"TIME for Sports" can be an evangelistic outreach that is part of our standard construction/ministry trip, or a trip soley dedicated to sports outreach.  We provide everything needed, equipment, staff, translators, etc.  You just need to get here!  Of course, we are always encouraged by donations of equipment, new or used.  Sports include basketball, baseball, volleyball, we have even done lacrosse!  Unfortunately, no ice hockey here, but perhaps field hockey…  We are only limited by the talents God has given your team!

Since 1968, TIME has been partnering with national pastors and churches to change lives and bring hope through construction projects, evangelism opportunities and discipleship programs. Whether you’re helping build a new church for villagers, leading a VBS in the middle of a crowded local park, coaching a sports ministry in the neighborhood soccer field, caring for the medical and/or nutritional needs of a community or personally connecting one-on-one with nationals, we guarantee it will be an experience that will never be forgotten by you or the lives you’ve touched.
