What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

579151_205004319611027_1547183803_n.jpg

With 1 out of 4 people living below the poverty line, many families in Nepal get by with only the basic necessities. These families are forced to make due with building homes from natural resources such as unfired mud bricks, stones, wood and even hay. During cold winters, rainy days, and hot summers families have very little between them and mother nature. The Fuller Center for Housing in Nepal is working in the village of Trishuli, which sits in the foothills of the Himalayas, to build safe, decent, and affordable homes for these families in need.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to work side by side with the homeowners and other locals in one of the most picturesque locations on earth. In addition to providing safe housing, these trips provide locals with jobs, help support the local economy and create a life-changing experience for all involved.

If you have a heart for combining service, traveling and experiencing new cultures than this trip is for you!

Mission Trip Offered By The Fuller Center for Housing

The Fuller Center for Housing is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. By forming partnerships with local organizations, The Fuller Center provides the structure, guidance and support that communities need to build and repair homes for the impoverished among them.

We operate through local Covenant Partner organizations, which are volunteer led and driven. Visiting Global Builders teams will have the opportunity to assist one of our local Fuller Centers — called Covenant Partners — build or renovate a home for a family in need in their community.
