Inquire about the trip

Ravaged by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, Eswatini has the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the world, leaving thousands of children 12% of the population without parents. In addition, 40% of all Swazis live on less than $1.25 per day, which is below the international poverty line. But we believe God has a redemptive plan for Eswatini. The key to a nations future is its children in the care for their physical well being, the fulfillment of basic needs like food, clean water, and shelter, and in their education. We want to see children become well-adjusted adults living abundant lives through Christ and contributing in productive ways to their society through church, work, family, and community. We address this vision through our Eswatini Adventures in Missions base, our partnership with Children's Hopechest, and our neighborhood Carepoints where local children have access to food, discipleship, clean water, education, and healthcare.

What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Within every community, we want to see vital, reproductive churches that reach across generations to help people grow spiritually. We do this through Adventures' focus on church planting and church partnerships.

Through efforts in leadership development and sustainable agriculture, we are also able to use micro enterprise to build people up in their current lives, as well as come alongside them, as they learn and grow for the future.

While in Eswatini, you and your team will play a crucial role in the Kingdom work happening in the Manzini area. Your team will be strategically placed with one or more of our 39 CarePoints. There will also be the occasional side project as well.

CarePoint Ministry: Opportunities to minister to kids by helping teach, play games, provide meals or compete in sports with them. You’ll be able to build relationships with them, love them, and bring hope and joy to their day!
Feeding Program: Our CarePoints offer meals for kids who may not receive much food outside of our programs. You will be able to assist in these feeding programs by helping cook, serve, and/or distribute food for those who come!
Work/Service Projects: Occasionally, our partners need help with more hands-on and work oriented projects. This may include painting, landscaping, or light construction work.

You will be staying on a homestead with a local family. There are two small houses with bunk beds that you will use. There is a small kitchen in both houses and bathrooms. There are also outside bathrooms and showers available to use.

Food and Meals
Meals are included in the cost of the trip. There is a full kitchen with anything you might need. Meals are very much a team effort, and we have a lot of fun in the process! Teams will participate in meal prep and serving. Breakfast will be self-serve. Lunch will be packed sandwiches, fruit and a side to take to the ministry site. Hot dinners will typically be served after ministry and provided by a cook.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

It is our privilege to join the local churches who practice community evangelism and the establishment of new churches by loving and helping neighbors, and sharing the Gospel of hope, purpose, and truth with them. We learn so much from them, and share great joy in the experience!

Mission Trip Offered By Adventures in Missions

You want to follow Jesus’s example in the way He cared for the lost and the hurting. You want to take up Jesus’s commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and be His witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).

Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. We emphasize prayer and relationships in our work around the world. We seek to disciple as Jesus did; our vision is that God would use us to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

Since we were established in 1989, we have taken over 115,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. We minister year-round through our ministry bases and strategic ministry partnerships. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and join what God is doing in other cultures and nations, lives are transformed.
