What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Your team will walk and minister side-by-side with the White Mountain Apache people of the church, listening to them, praying with them, encouraging them, and learning from them. Leaders will challenge your team and give them opportunities to build relationships that could last for years beyond this one week.
Ministry
Teen Outreach: Your team will work mostly with local teens, in very relational ministry. Let Jesus use this mission to train your team to see people through God’s eyes, like the way the members of East Fork Riverside see them.
Youth Group: Working alongside the church’s youth group, your team will provide much needed support for evening kids’ ministry.
Work Projects: Support the work being done in this area by completing small projects that will help maintain and upkeep the facilities. This may include raking, painting, building, etc.
**Youth Rally week in October, you will join the Riverside youth group in outreach and fun activities every day. Nights will be filled with testimonies, praise and worship, as well as practical teachings and evangelistic outreach. This is your chance to add life and excitement to this valuable, annual Apache outreach.
Lodging
Your team will be sleeping on the floor of the church. Bedding is not provided. And bring your own pillow, towel, toiletries, flashlight. The church offers separate arrangements for males and females. There are 2 men’s bathrooms, each with 2 showers, 2 toilets; and also 2 women’s bathrooms, each with 2 showers and 2 toilets.
Travel
You will need to provide your own transportation during the duration of your stay. Most groups fly or drive in and then obtain a rental vehicle if needed. you fly, Albuquerque’s airport is a delight that also offers plenty of rental options. You’ll need to reserve vehicles in advance at their Rental Center, then drive to White River, AZ which is about 3 hours. The Phoenix airport is also 3 hours away. Throughout the week, teams will use their own vehicles for transportation.

Mission Trip Offered By Adventures in Missions
You want to follow Jesus’s example in the way He cared for the lost and the hurting. You want to take up Jesus’s commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and be His witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. We emphasize prayer and relationships in our work around the world. We seek to disciple as Jesus did; our vision is that God would use us to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ.
Since we were established in 1989, we have taken over 115,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. We minister year-round through our ministry bases and strategic ministry partnerships. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and join what God is doing in other cultures and nations, lives are transformed.
