There is an urgent need for English teachers to serve in an English Institute, from August – December 2025. Even if a person is only able to come for 2-3 months in this timeframe, it will be a blessing! Be a part of a church planting team among an unreached people, as you learn some local language and culture.

We are looking for one or a few native speakers of English to teach a pre-set curriculum with easy lesson plans while one of the directors is away, so that the students have native speakers whom they can learn from, listen to their accents, etc.  A few local teachers will still be there, especially teaching the Basic English classes, but we need someone to teach the Intermediate and Advanced courses. Classes run 2-3 hours a day, from Monday-Saturday.

The students are almost all university-aged students from South and Southeast Asia. They come for 1.5 hours for class, either in the morning or in the evening. What is especially needed is a native English speaker to help with the Intermediate and Advanced courses. The curriculum is all made and ready, and would be emailed to the teacher weekly.

There is also a prep course for the IELTS exam (where they check basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills). We have a few books of curriculum for this class that can be used if the short-term teacher is comfortable teaching that as well.

There are no specific TESL qualifications required, other than being a native English speaker. Someone with experience living overseas or working with people from other cultures would be great, but not mandatory.

You will also be a part of a church planting team in your city, interacting daily with them.
