In Nicaragua, you'll have the opportunity to serve in one of the following ministries: Agriculture, Appropriate Technology, Education, Health Care, Microfinance, Physical Therapy, Men’s Sports, or Women’s Social Work!

This is your opportunity to meet spiritual, physical, and emotional needs in the poorest country in Latin America. The SI ministry base is located near Masaya, about 40 minutes southeast of Managua. The SI base will provide a perfect place to debrief each evening and you’ll sleep in guys' and girls' cabins. For an excursion, you can trek to a nearby Volcano.

Students International focuses on short-term missions that “help without hurting,” by placing our students with long-term missionaries who are fully integrated into the community and who aren’t taking jobs away from local laborers. Our style is relational and is therefore centered around our long-standing presence within the communities where we work. This may be challenging for people who expect to see immediate "results" in evangelism and project completion. As a result, however, we see local and outreach participants transformed into the likeness of Christ.

We’ve sent over 25,000 students to serve alongside our full-time missionaries in hard-to-reach communities. Those students have helped transform thousands of lives for the better. And so can you.
