What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
This unique experience is designed for people ages 18-35 who are passionate about the mission and eager to engage with unreached people.
Your journey will begin in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where divers will spend ten days receiving essential training and gaining invaluable ministry experience. After your time in Chiang Mai, the divers will be divided into three teams and embark on a two-week mission trip into a neighbouring country. Teams will be sent to either Cambodia or 2 other locations working in Buddhist ministry.
You will receive essential training about Buddhism, and gain insights into sharing faith in a buddhist context.
The team will be between 6-12 participants fom different countries, so you will gain experience working on a multicultural team.
SPECIFIC TEAM OPPORTUNITIES:
Team 1 (Cambodia): This team will be involved in a range of ministries. The majority of ministries will be in Buddhist contexts, unless otherwise specified. Possibilities include: English teaching with the Muslim ministry team, Sports ministry & visiting churches.
Team 2 (Sensitive Country): They will get involved in ministries for children and youth: taking part in Bible storytelling gatherings, maintaining the shelter building, doing inside and outside activities for afterschool programs, and worshipping at a local church.
Team 3 (Sensitive Country): Divers will stay in a local guesthouse and have meals at the local restaurants. They will get involved in prayer ministry such as prayer walking most of the time, and in English classes for local children and teens one day.
