What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

53156472338_ecf1b0b4fc_o.jpg

You will spend your time in Airdrie, Scotland working on projects that the Airdrie RPC congregation would be challenged to do without a team. This may include work like renovations in the church building or landscaping at the manse. The work will not be purely physical; there will be work with a spiritual focus too. Your team will work with the church to run a Holiday Bible club (HBC) with kids from both Christian and non-Christian homes. You also may be involved in advertising for conventicles and other special church services in Airdrie. In 2023 the team put 11,000 leaflets in folks’ mail slots in Scotland and, as a result, had many conversations about these services. The team will also take part in events such as public meetings of the presbytery, church picnics, and touring reformation sights.

The team will work directly with the Airdrie RPC congregation to assist them with projects that they would struggle to complete without a team, to encourage the small congregation, and to reach people in the community to invite them to services and special events that the congregation is putting on.

Mission Trip Offered By RP Global Missions Short Term

RP Global Missions (RPGM) Short Term seeks to provide opportunities for God’s people to serve Christ through short-term efforts partnering with established congregations and mission stations. Our primary tasks are to Serve Christ and His Church, Proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and Disciple the Nations.

You will enjoy working alongside pastors, elders, deacons, missionaries and other church workers that can inspire you with their vision and aid you in discovering the tools that God has been pleased to give you through regular study of His Word and the investment of your parents and local church.

If you have an overwhelming desire to serve Christ, to reach the “lost” with the good news of Jesus Christ, and if you are eager to get to know brothers and sisters in Christ from across His kingdom, we hope you will consider applying for an RPGM Short Term trip!

RPGM Short Term falls under the umbrella of the Reformed Presbyterian Global Missions Board, which sends out missionaries equipped with a love for Jesus, the Word of God, and his church, with an emphasis on church planting. We also partner with like-minded indigenous workers with whom God has brought us into relationship.
