What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
At Mission Partners for Christ, we know you want to be a difference-maker for the kingdom. To do that, you need opportunities to serve Jesus with your medical giftings.
The problem is, from logistics and fundraising to safety and scheduling, medical missions come with countless questions. Causing you to feel unsure and anxious about which opportunities are right for you.
As Christ followers, we believe it’s our job to bring physical and spiritual relief in the name of Jesus to communities that have neither. We know how it feels to be called into medical missions while navigating life and working full-time in the United States. This is why we specialize in planning, organizing, and facilitating short-term missions for medical professionals who want to make an immediate and eternal impact in the lives of others in unreached countries.
Here’s what our trips look like:
1. First, we identify a community in Africa that is unengaged from the gospel and in need of medical care.
2. Next, we work with local guides and officials to organize treatment centers and gospel-sharing activities in that community.
3. Then, we assemble teams of Christ-following doctors, healthcare professionals, and other believers who are ready to provide medical education and care while telling others about Jesus.
Imagine never hearing the name of Jesus! Thats the reality for most living in this nation. 96% of the population follows Islam. You can bring the light of Jesus to this nation with compassionate medical care and health education. You will also be able to encourage the small percentage of Christians committed to sharing the gospel in this country.
If God is calling you to mission work, our short-term medical mission trips are a GREAT way to gain some experience, create lifelong memories, and meet new people!
For this trip we are serving in South Sudan.
Half of the population do not have access to an improved water source. In areas where there are piped water sources, they are poorly maintained and are not safe for drinking.
South Sudan ranks highest in female illiteracy and maternal mortality (2%) with an infant mortality rate of 13.5%. There are 8.3 million people in need of humanitarian aid, with only a handful of hospitals and surgeons in the entire country (typically one doctor for every 500,000 people). HIV/AIDS rates are around 3% of the populations and Malaria rates are among the highest in the sub-Saharan Africa. South Sudan is one of the few counties where dracunculiasis still occurs.
Please consider joining Missions Partners for Christ in providing a 4-day medical clinic for the unreached and underserved people of South Sudan. Use your gifts, talents and resources to serve God’s by sharing His love, His healing powers and His gift of salvation to these people in need. In so doing, you will receive God’s blessing, strengthen your faith, meet some incredible people and maybe even witness God’s healing powers firsthand.
