For 17 years weve enabled hundreds of new and experienced cyclists alike to tackle incredible adventures by bicycle, and we would love for you to join us. Our rides are focused on serving God and each other as we raise money for families around the world, building and repairing homes through The Fuller Center for Housing. In the end we find that our own lives are changed through the experience of biking through America and the friendships we build for life.

Why Do We Ride?

Our rides support The Fuller Center for Housing’s efforts to end poverty housing worldwide. The Fuller Center builds and repairs homes with partner families who participate in the work and pay the costs forward on a no-profit, no-interest basis they can afford. The impact reaches whole communities.

Our rides have raised over $5 million, introduced countless new friends to the mission, and led to the creation of several new Fuller Centers. We live simply as we go and depend on the hospitality of host churches, which has allowed 97% of the donations to be used for The Fuller Center rather than our own expenses.

As a result, the homes of real people get built and renovated and the movement expands. At a time of increased divisions, our caring Christ-centered community brings people together to make the world a better place.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

The event is not a race, but an invitation to break from the routine of daily life and follow Jesus’s call to love and serve our neighbor, especially “the least of these,” as we help families have homes.

Thirty years from now, will we wish we spent more time in an office or more time out exploring beautiful countryside, getting our hands dirty for something meaningful and changing the world?

Training debriefing
This is a personal decision that depends upon personal athleticism, fitness, biking experience and endurance. We have learned that those who are older (especially if inexperienced in cycling) typically require a greater amount of training to obtain the needed level of speed and endurance. We generally leave it to each rider to determine for themselves whether they will be in adequate physical condition for the event. At a minimum, all riders should complete this training checklist on the bike they will bring to the ride: Whole Way riders should aim to complete 500+ miles of cycling on roads with vehicles Segment riders should complete 150+ miles of cycling on roads with vehicles Everyone should complete a ride of 50+ miles Everyone should have ridden in the rain at least once (if you plan to ride rain or shine with us) You do not need to be Superman or a college athlete to join us, but you do need to get yourself into good physical condition and be comfortable riding on roads with vehicles and in wet conditions. We also have our support team! There’s no cost to come along in support roles such as driving support vehicles, taking pictures, making videos, etc. Support spots are limited per ride, so please start by using the Express Interest button to inquire about any particular ride. When it comes to construction, any amount of skill is welcomed.

Mission Trip Offered By The Fuller Center for Housing

The Fuller Center for Housing is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. By forming partnerships with local organizations, The Fuller Center provides the structure, guidance and support that communities need to build and repair homes for the impoverished among them.

We operate through local Covenant Partner organizations, which are volunteer led and driven. Visiting Global Builders teams will have the opportunity to assist one of our local Fuller Centers — called Covenant Partners — build or renovate a home for a family in need in their community.
