What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Serving the homeless in Jesus' name!

Your group will receive training prior to arrival at the Priority 1 facilities (if you plan to hold a Kids' Club). Teams will serve with established churches/ministries in the Bronx sharing the gospel during a children's Bible club in a playground. Your group will be stretched, challenged, and grow spiritually as they touch lives in the inner-city. There will also be opportunities to serve homeless people at a soup kitchen or food bank; participate in a Prayer Walk; and other possible types of service.

Urban Outreach teams serve with established churches and/or inner-city ministries who will provide follow-up for those whose lives have been touched by your ministry.

Your team can have the option to help conduct a VBS-type Kid's club in a neighborhood park or playground in the Bronx, NYC, or some other types of ministry/service opportunities. Priority 1 staff will serve alongside your team throughout your week of service.

Families, Groups [max size 15], Married Couples
Other Financial Notes:
Cost is $350 per person for full-week Urban Outreach: covers all lodging, meals (except one meal purchased by team members during prayer walk/ intentional sight-seeing), ministry materials, and training. Team members will also need $36 for unlimited week-long subway/bus pass (your group will arrive Sunday afternoon & return home Friday midday). These weeks can assist Youth Pastors in building a close-knit youth group & peer leadership.
There may be dates open for weekend groups, trip cost is $190 per person, plus bus/subway pass and 1 meal downtown). Check with us to make sure your first-choice dates are open.
Training debriefing
Training and preparation for your team will be provided by Priority 1 staff. There will be a time of orientation upon arrival and a time of Debrief prior to returning home.
