What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

We have been invited to Metlakatla, the only Indian Reserve in AK, to work with the Tsimshian nation, and we are officially inviting you to join us!

Several of the other local pastors, have asked us to lead a sports/leadership camp to reach out to the youth on the island. We are using a Christian program called Upward Basketball as a model to meet the needs of the community. In addition to basketball skills and tournament play we teach sportsmanship, Christian leadership, community service and outreach as part of the camp for grades K – 6. One of the unique benefits of this camp is that it has served to unite the churches of differing denominations on the Annette Island as one.

When we all arrive in Metlakatla, we will come together as a one team to debrief and train! Nothing needed before we get to the location! There are no specific qualifications that you need to possess in order to travel into the field with us! We want and welcome anyone who is feeling called to join us!
