What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Does your small group or family want to take a spiritually focused break from work or school for personal growth and to impact the lives of disadvantaged and children in New York City!
Dates are adaptable for what fits best with your team's time off work or school break.
Your group (minimum size 5, max 12) will arrive and be housed at Priority 1 housing facilities, located in the Bronx, NY.
Every one will be stretched and challenged as all of you serve with established inner-city churches/ministries like a "love" kitchen or food pantry; help with an after-school program; do conversational evangelism in park or playground; participate in the AmazinGRace prayer walk/intentional sight-seeing; worship in an inner-city church; and, hear from people involved in inner-city ministry.
You will make an eternal difference in the lives of people (especially children) in New York City and your own lives will be deeply impacted as you experience the needs of the inner-city!! You won't be a tourist, you'll be here as a resident.
Your group will be able to enjoy the sights, but will experience New York City in a very practical and real way!

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
Encounter groups serve for 3 to 5 days with established churches and/or inner-city ministries who will provide follow-up for those whose lives have been touched by your ministry. During your time in NYC there will also be team worship & challenging devotions for your own team’s spiritual growth.
