Zimbabwe Orphans & Vulnerable Children Mission Trip: Sports, Bible Teaching & Mentorship

Use your time, gifts, and compassion to build relationships, encourage young people, and share the hope of Jesus.

Serve alongside local ministry leaders in Zimbabwe as they care for orphans and vulnerable children and teens, ages 4–18. Through sports, Bible teaching, mentorship, creative activities, practical service, and everyday interactions, you’ll help create a safe and encouraging environment where young people can experience belonging, dignity, and hope.

This trip is ideal for churches, schools, students, young adults, families, youth groups, and individuals who want to invest in the next generation and grow in cross-cultural ministry. You don’t need special qualifications or experience working with children. You simply need a willingness to build relationships, serve wherever needed, and love people well.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with Zimbabwean ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in the lives of children and teenagers.

• Build relationships through mentorship and encouragement by spending time with young people, listening to their stories, sharing life together, and reminding them they are seen and valued.

• Create opportunities for growth and connection through sports, games, crafts, Bible lessons, worship, prayer, and creative activities.

• Support practical needs through painting, construction, maintenance, beautification projects, and other hands-on service.

• Serve alongside orphanage staff and local ministries while experiencing ministry in and around Bulawayo.

You’ll fly into Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and serve alongside local ministry leaders and staff who are faithfully investing in vulnerable children, teens, and their communities.

Sometimes the Greatest Ministry Is Simply Being Present.

Many children and teens in Zimbabwe have experienced loss, poverty, family instability, neglect, or difficult circumstances. Your presence can remind them that they are not forgotten, that they are deeply loved by God, and that their future holds hope.

You may organize a soccer game, lead a Bible lesson, help with a craft, share your testimony, paint a building, work on a construction project, pray with a child, or simply sit and spend time together. Every moment is an opportunity to encourage, listen, and show the love of Jesus.
