What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Empower a Child has mission trips in East Africa all throughout the year. From two weeks to one year, we have a place for those who have a heart for the orphans and the youth of Africa!
Individual Short-term Mission Trips:

Short-term missions trips range from 2 weeks to 4 months. Volunteers are welcome to come as individuals and work as a teacher or tutor in our primary school or preschool, as well as join our weekly outreach programs in areas of sports outreach, praise and worship, skits and drama, games, to share the love of Christ with the most vulnerable youth of Uganda. Volunteers will participate in activities such as reading with children in small groups, helping in math, tutoring select students one on one in the classroom.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
Short-term mission volunteer work alongside the East Africa staff and teachers during class time and in all the outreaches and kids/youth Bible programs. Our national staff work with these children and youth in our programs each week throughout the year. Ideas shared by short-term volunteers can be implemented into the long term activities of the projects.

Mission trip fees include: Airport transfers, accommodation, meals at guesthouse, translators, transportation in country, ministry project costs.
Participants need to pay for: Airfare, health/travel insurance, visa, and personal spending money
Note: All trips are subject to a $225 administration fee
Mission Trip Offered By Empower a Child
Empower a Child works in Kampala and Zirobwe, Uganda and Nairobi, Kenya. We work with schools, orphanages, babies’ homes, and hospitals bringing the love of Christ to children in need. Individuals, families, friends, church groups, school groups, and college groups are welcome to join us in our weekly outreach programs for trips lasting anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months. All trips are customize-able, depending on when you would like to come.
