Serve alongside local ministry leaders in Zimbabwe through prison ministry focused on discipleship, prayer, encouragement, and sharing the hope and love of Jesus with inmates and their families.

This trip is ideal for churches, pastors, students, young adults, ministry teams, and individuals who want to serve people who are often overlooked and grow in cross-cultural ministry. You don’t need to have all the answers or special skills. You simply need humility, compassion, and a willingness to listen, encourage, pray, and see people the way Jesus does.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with Zimbabwean ministry leaders who are already faithfully serving inmates and investing in their spiritual growth.

• Encourage and disciple inmates through prison visits, Bible studies, prayer, worship, testimony sharing, and meaningful conversations.

• Build relationships through compassion by listening to stories, offering encouragement, and reminding people that they are not forgotten.

• Provide practical support through ministry efforts such as medication assistance, community outreach, and other needs connected to prison ministry.

• Serve alongside local churches and ministries while experiencing ministry in and around Bulawayo.

You’ll fly into Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and serve alongside local ministry leaders and churches who are faithfully investing in inmates, families, and communities.

Many incarcerated men and women carry stories marked by poverty, addiction, violence, broken relationships, trauma, hopelessness, and limited opportunity. Prison ministry creates space for people to encounter grace, dignity, community, discipleship, and the transforming hope of Christ.

Sometimes ministry looks simple: listening to someone’s story, praying together, sharing your testimony, encouraging someone who feels hopeless, or helping provide practical support. Those moments matter deeply.

You may lead a Bible study, pray with an inmate, worship together, share your story, listen to someone’s experiences, or simply offer a word of encouragement. You may never know the full impact of that moment—but God can use your presence to remind someone that their story is not over and that redemption is possible.
