Use your time, compassion, and presence to strengthen marriages, encourage families, and share the hope of Jesus.

Through marriage retreats, couples ministry, family discipleship, mentorship, prayer ministry, and relationship-building, you’ll serve alongside local ministry leaders and invest in couples and families in meaningful ways.

This trip is ideal for individuals, couples, pastors, young adults, students, families, and church groups who want to encourage healthy relationships and support families while growing in cross-cultural ministry. You don’t need to be a professional counselor, marriage coach, or family therapist. You simply need compassion, humility, a willingness to listen, and a desire to encourage others with the love of Jesus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with local ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in strengthening marriages and families in their communities.

• Serve at marriage retreats and couples events through discussions, activities, testimony sharing, encouragement, and practical support.

• Build relationships with couples and families through conversation, shared meals, fellowship, mentorship, and intentional time together.

• Encourage healthy communication and relationships through family-focused workshops, discipleship, mentoring, and practical encouragement.

• Pray with and encourage families as you create spaces where people feel seen, valued, supported, and reminded of God’s love and grace.

• You’ll serve alongside Zimbabwean ministry leaders who understand their communities and are already doing the work of investing in couples and families. Together, you’ll have opportunities to participate in ministry throughout the local community while learning from and supporting those who serve there year-round.

You’ll fly into Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local leaders and communities.
