What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Family Short-term Mission Trips:
Short-term missions trips range from 1 weeks to 2 months. Families join our weekly outreach programs and work in areas of praise and worship, skits and drama, games, sports outreach and crafts and sharing the love of Christ with the most vulnerable children & youth of Uganda. Families also work in a project of their choice. Many volunteers enjoy working with babies’ or serve alongside children in our preschool, join a sports ministry outreach to village children and youth, teach or tutor in a school for orphans and vulnerable children, serve at day camp Bible clubs for the children, help a needy family in the community with a building project or serve in a medical clinic.

Your family has the option to end your trip with a three-day safari in one of Uganda’s national parks.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
Short-term mission volunteer work alongside our East African staff and church volunteers from the local church during all the outreaches, Bible studies, and children and youth programs. Ideas shared by short-term volunteers are many times implemented into the long term activities of the projects.

Mission Trip Offered By Empower a Child
Empower a Child works in Kampala and Zirobwe, Uganda and Nairobi, Kenya. We work with schools, orphanages, babies’ homes, and hospitals bringing the love of Christ to children in need. Individuals, families, friends, church groups, school groups, and college groups are welcome to join us in our weekly outreach programs for trips lasting anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months. All trips are customize-able, depending on when you would like to come.
