What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Plunge into the heart of Kansas City to serve alongside local ministries, build relationships, and discover what it means to live on mission right where you are.
Through hands-on service, community outreach, relationship-building, prayer, and practical ministry, you’ll experience Kansas City in a new way while serving alongside local leaders who know the community and are invested in seeing it transformed.
This trip is ideal for youth groups, churches, students, young adults, and families, who want to step outside their comfort zone, serve others, and grow in their understanding of missions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with local ministries that are already serving Kansas City and meeting the spiritual and practical needs of people in the community.
- Serve through hands-on ministry projects that may include food distribution, community outreach, serving people experiencing homelessness, children's ministry, refugee and immigrant outreach, or other local ministry opportunities.
- Build relationships with people from different backgrounds through meaningful conversations, shared experiences, games, service projects, and simply being present.
- Experience ministry in multiple settings as your team serves alongside several local organizations and ministries throughout the trip.
- Reflect and grow as a team through facilitated discussions, Scripture-centered curriculum, debriefing, and conversations about what God is showing you and how you can continue living on mission at home.
