What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Existing in the city is an undeniable sense of potential as well as an undeniable need for the love and hope of Christ. That is where the local church, as well as many nonprofit organizations and ministries, have stepped in. At Next Step, we feel privileged to work alongside these organizations to see Christ move in Milwaukee.
As one of the longest standing Next Step sites, we began our partnership in this community in 2011, and our involvement continues to grow. We are honored to work alongside groups like Bridge Builders and Ebenezer Stone on initiatives set by their leadership teams to meet community needs through home repair and relational outreach.
During your time in Milwaukee, you may have the opportunity to work on block
beautification and home repair projects, or serve at local gardens and food pantries. But at the end of the week you can know that your understanding of the city, as well as growth in and understanding of prayer will have taken place. Relationships will have formed. Projects will have been completed. And the love of Christ will be made known.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
This trip is rooted in long-term partnership with local churches and faith-based organizations that are actively serving Milwaukee year-round. Since 2011, Next Step has worked alongside trusted local leaders, including Bridge Builders and Ebenezer Stone, supporting initiatives they have identified as most impactful for their community.
Student teams serve as an extension of the local Church, contributing to ongoing efforts such as home repair, block beautification, gardens, and food pantries. Rather than starting new programs, this trip strengthens existing ministry and relational outreach, helping advance the long-term work of restoration, prayer, and hope already taking place in Milwaukee through the body of Christ.
Additional Trip Information
The cost of a Next Step trip covers almost everything your group will need for a safe, impactful, and meaningful mission experience, including:
Meals & meal prep all food during your stay.
Lodging accommodations for your group.
Programming worship, teaching, and video content.
Trip staffing experienced leaders and support staff.
Project materials tools, supplies, and resources for service projects.
Partnerships & planned projects all coordination with local churches and organizations.
What Your Group is responsible for:
Transportation to site, as well as to and from the host facility and from the facility to worksites.
Optional expenses on free day activities, such as tours, restaurants or other local adventures.
Bus Accessible, Van Accessible. This site is bus accessible, but vans are preferred. Some groups choose to fly and then rent vehicles for the week. The nearest airport is the General Mitchell International Airport (MKE).
With the majority of expenses included in the trip cost, your students can focus on serving, growing, and building lasting relationships without worrying about extra fees.
