What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Equip. Encourage. Transform.
Use your skills, creativity, and compassion to build relationships, encourage women, and share the hope of Jesus.
Through entrepreneurship programs, technical skills, discipleship, mentorship, and community outreach, you’ll serve alongside local ministry leaders and connect with women and families in meaningful ways.
This trip is ideal for individuals, families, students, young adults, church groups, and women’s groups who want to use their skills and experience to encourage and equip women in a cross-cultural setting. You don’t have to be an expert or have everything figured out. You simply need a willingness to serve, learn, and invest in others.
What You’ll Be Doing

Partner with local ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in their communities and the women they serve.

Equip women with practical skills and opportunities through baking, sewing, crafts, entrepreneurship, and other hands-on workshops.

Build relationships through encouragement and discipleship by sharing stories, praying together, offering mentorship, and creating spaces where women feel seen and valued.

Create opportunities for growth and connection through sports, recreation, children's activities, community outreach, and meaningful conversations.

Serve in several of Costa Rica’s largest cities while staying at one of our local CFCI bases.
You’ll fly into San José, Costa Rica, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local leaders and communities.
Your Skills Can Help Create New Opportunities.
For many women in the communities we serve, supporting their families means navigating poverty, limited opportunities, and difficult circumstances. Learning a practical skill can open a door—but the relationship built along the way can open so much more.
You may teach a baking workshop, sew alongside another woman, lead a craft, organize a game for children, assist with daycare, share coffee and conversation, or pray with someone. Every moment is an opportunity to remind women that they are seen, valued, and created with purpose.
