What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Love. Encourage. Empower.
Use your time, compassion, and presence to build relationships, support families, and share the love of Jesus.
Through mentorship, childcare support, women’s ministry, family outreach, and community programs, you’ll serve alongside local ministry leaders and connect with teen moms, young women, girls, and families in meaningful ways.
This trip is ideal for individuals, families, students, young adults, women’s groups, and church groups who want to encourage young women and families while growing in cross-cultural ministry. You don’t need to have all the answers or be a professional counselor or childcare worker. You simply need compassion, humility, and a willingness to love people well.
What You’ll Be Doing

Partner with local ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in the lives of young women, mothers, and families.

Build relationships with teen moms and girls through mentorship, encouragement, shared meals, activities, and meaningful conversations.

Support children and families through childcare, daycare assistance, games, VBS-style activities, and practical care.

Create spaces of belonging and hope where young women and their children feel seen, valued, safe, supported, and reminded they are not alone.

Serve in several of Costa Rica’s largest cities while staying at one of our local CFCI bases.
You’ll fly into San José, Costa Rica, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local leaders and communities.
Your Presence Can Remind Someone They’re Not Alone.
Many young mothers and teenage girls in the communities we serve are navigating poverty, instability, limited opportunities, broken relationships, addiction, abuse, or a lack of support. Sometimes the most powerful ministry is simply showing up consistently.
You may care for children, lead a game, help with a craft, assist with a women's program, share a meal, encourage a young mom, pray with a family, or simply sit and listen. Every conversation, every act of encouragement, and every relationship can become a reminder of God's love.
