What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Go Where People Are. Love Where You Are.
Use your time, compassion, and presence to build relationships, serve families, and share the hope of Jesus.
Through home visits, family ministry, food distribution, prayer, and compassion outreach, you’ll serve alongside local ministry leaders and connect with individuals and families in meaningful, personal ways.
This trip is ideal for individuals, families, students, and church groups who want to serve people right where they are and grow in ministry in a cross-cultural setting. You don’t need special skills or experience. You simply need a willing heart, a posture of compassion, and a desire to see people the way Jesus does.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with local ministry leaders who already know and love the communities they serve.
- Visit families in their homes and create opportunities for connection, encouragement, prayer, and support.
- Meet practical needs with compassion by delivering food bags and providing other forms of practical assistance.
- Build relationships by listening to stories, sharing meals, encouraging parents and children, and praying with individuals and families.
- Serve in several of Costa Rica’s largest cities while staying at one of our local CFCI bases.
You’ll fly into San José, Costa Rica, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local leaders and communities.
Sometimes the Most Powerful Ministry Is Simply Showing Up.
You may share coffee in someone’s home, pray with a parent, play with children outside, deliver groceries, or simply sit and listen to someone’s story. These moments may seem simple, but they can remind people that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.
