What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Teach. Encourage. Inspire.
Use your time, gifts, and encouragement to invest in the next generation, build relationships, and share the love of Jesus.
Through after-school programs, tutoring, English classes, homework support, games, mentorship, meals, creative activities, and community outreach, you’ll serve alongside local ministry leaders while connecting with children and youth in meaningful ways.
This trip is ideal for students, teachers, youth groups, churches, college groups, families, and individuals who want to invest in children and young people in a cross-cultural setting. You don’t have to be a professional teacher or have an education degree. You simply need a willingness to serve, encourage, and show up consistently.
What You’ll Be Doing

Partner with local ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in the lives of children, youth, and their communities.

Support students academically through English tutoring, math and homework help, reading, educational activities, and conversation practice.

Build relationships through mentorship by encouraging students, listening to their stories, playing games, sharing meals, and creating spaces where they feel known and supported.

Create safe spaces for growth through sports, crafts, creative activities, Bible lessons, prayer, and community outreach.

Serve in several of Costa Rica’s largest cities while staying at one of our local CFCI bases.
You’ll fly into San José, Costa Rica, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local leaders and communities.
