What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

On this trip, you’ll join the team at Mama Beth Children’s Program, where every day more than 1,000 meals are prepared and served to children in need. You’ll work alongside local staff and cooks to help ensure meals are ready and delivered, and you’ll take part in distributing them at nearby schools—where smiling faces and joyful greetings remind you of the impact a simple meal can have.
Beyond the feeding program, you’ll help support discipleship activities for children, encouraging them in their faith and reminding them that they are seen and loved. Some days may include visiting homes in the community or connecting with children in our sponsorship program, where you’ll witness firsthand the hope being cultivated in difficult circumstances. At times, there may also be opportunities to join in light work projects that strengthen the program and its facilities.
Every part of your service will be rooted in partnership—standing alongside Kenyan leaders who are faithfully investing in their community every day.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
This trip supports the long-term work of the Mama Beth Children’s Program in Kijabe, Kenya, led by Jane Wathagana. Jane grew up in the very community she now serves and continues the legacy of her mother, Mama Beth, who founded the program decades ago. Deeply rooted in the local church, Jane’s leadership reflects a strong commitment to holistic care—providing children with nutritious meals, education, medical support, spiritual discipleship, and safe housing.
Team members serve alongside Jane and her team, strengthening the ongoing work of the local church and helping meet the physical and spiritual needs of vulnerable children. Jane has a deep heart for the next generation, believing that with the right support and a foundation in Christ, children can grow into leaders who transform their communities. This trip gives participants the opportunity to be part of that long-term vision.
