Through dental outreach, patient education, preventative care, community clinics, and relationship-based ministry, you’ll serve alongside local healthcare workers and ministry leaders to provide compassionate care to people who may have limited access to dental services.

This trip is ideal for dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental students, healthcare professionals, medical volunteers, churches, and university groups who want to use their skills to serve underserved communities. You’ll work alongside local professionals and ministry leaders, so you don’t have to do it alone. You simply need a willingness to serve, collaborate, and care for people with compassion and dignity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with local healthcare workers and ministry leaders who are already deeply invested in serving their communities.

• Provide dental care and hygiene support through cleanings, preventative care, assistance with dental procedures, and patient education.

• Serve through community and mobile dental outreach by helping provide care to individuals and families who may otherwise have limited access to dental services.

• Build relationships with patients through conversation, encouragement, kindness, and compassionate care that reminds people they are seen and valued.

• Support and learn from local staff through collaboration, mentorship, prayer ministry, and sharing knowledge and skills.

You’ll fly into Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local healthcare workers, ministry leaders, and communities.

Many communities throughout Zimbabwe face barriers to healthcare, including limited access to dental services, financial hardship, transportation challenges, and shortages of medical resources. For someone who has been living with pain or unable to access basic dental care, compassionate treatment can make a lasting difference.

You may provide a cleaning, assist with a dental procedure, teach someone about preventative care, support a mobile clinic, answer questions, pray with a patient, or simply take time to listen to their story. Every appointment can become an opportunity to offer dignity, kindness, and a reminder that someone cares.
