What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Team Member Fee is just $2785 US.
COMMIT Ministries International is partnering with two of the local churches in rural areas in order to help them provide a desperately-needed community center and a church building to serve 30,000 people in seven communities in the area near Lisa. There are no other evangelical churches present in these communities.
We'll also help a church in Rosiori de Vida to train Gypsy/Rroma teens in a new profession to keep them from being recruited by druglords and sold into the sex trade. We may also work with the same Rosiori de Veda church to assist with their food outreach and food preparation while actively singing, playing soccer, and sharing the Good News with the community through a VBS. NO experience is needed!
This is a great opportunity to show the love of Jesus by getting actively involved in the lives of rural communities who desperately need to know that Jesus loves them. What a great way to truly grow your faith! This trip will give you a new perspective over the Balkan church culture and will definitey change your life!
After these few days spent in immersion ministry, you will have the opportunity to tour Romania starting in Brasov area in Transylvania – the extremely beautiful mountain side of Romania, where you will visit Dracula's Castle known by the locals as the Bran Castle from the novel of Bram Stoker, and then possibly to Constanta at the Black Sea shore and then to Bucharest where you will spend your last day visiting the House of the Parliament, the largest building ever been built by the former Romanian comunist leader -Ceausescu.
