What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

Few places bring that verse to life like Czechia — one of the most secular cultures on the planet, and one of the most spiritually hungry.
Spend your summer alongside missionaries doing church planting, refugee ministry, and community outreach and get a front-row seat to what it looks like to plant seeds of faith in genuinely hard soil. You’ll pick up language basics, dig into the region’s wild spiritual history (hello, Jan Hus and the Reformation), and jump into real summer outreach ministry with local believers.
This is intentional discipleship in real time mentoring, mission, and a serious gut-check on where God might be calling you. Not a spectator trip. An inside look at global missions, and a chance to see how your gifts fit into something bigger.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
You’ll serve alongside long-term missionaries and Czech believers who are faithfully making disciples in one of Europe’s most secular contexts. Rather than creating something separate, you’ll step into existing ministries through local churches, community outreach, refugee work, and church planting efforts already taking place. As you build relationships and serve alongside national believers, you’ll get a firsthand look at the patient, long-term work of sharing the gospel and helping new faith communities take root.

Around the world, countless communities still have little or no opportunity to encounter the Gospel and the transforming love of Jesus. By walking closely with churches and caring for workers, TEAM helps establish and sustain missional churches and communities of faith that endure long after workers return home. Our ministries will remain wonderfully varied, reflecting the many gifts God has given His people and the unique needs of the communities we serve. Yet beneath that diversity can be a shared conviction: whatever form our ministry takes, we desire to see healthy, indigenous, missional churches fellowships of Jesus followers living the way of Christ, established where access to the Gospel is limited. We strive to mobilize disciples from anywhere to serve everywhere, focusing on the places where the most need exists.
