TEAMtrek East Asia is a different kind of trip — small team, carry-on only, always moving. This isn’t about checking off service projects; it’s a learning expedition into how faith and culture shape each other, and how the Gospel speaks into places far outside the Church’s usual reach.
You’ll travel with an international, likely multilingual team, tracing God’s extravagant generosity across radically different language and religious landscapes. Come ready to be unsettled, ask hard questions, and figure out your next step with God one border crossing at a time.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
This trip is built around learning from and alongside the people already serving across East Asia. Throughout the journey, you’ll spend time with long-term missionaries, local believers, and ministry leaders who are faithfully engaging their communities in a variety of cultural contexts. Rather than dropping in to run programs, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how gospel work takes shape across different countries, learning from those who have invested years into building relationships, understanding cultures, and making disciples for the long haul.

Around the world, countless communities still have little or no opportunity to encounter the Gospel and the transforming love of Jesus. By walking closely with churches and caring for workers, TEAM helps establish and sustain missional churches and communities of faith that endure long after workers return home. Our ministries will remain wonderfully varied, reflecting the many gifts God has given His people and the unique needs of the communities we serve. Yet beneath that diversity can be a shared conviction: whatever form our ministry takes, we desire to see healthy, indigenous, missional churches fellowships of Jesus followers living the way of Christ, established where access to the Gospel is limited. We strive to mobilize disciples from anywhere to serve everywhere, focusing on the places where the most need exists. In over 135 years of ministry, strategies and needs have changed countless times, but one thing never will: Where Christ calls us, we will go.
