What the Mission Trip Will Be Like

LKP_6285 copy 2.jpg

Tell the story. Use your gifts. Share the mission.

The Global Storytelling: Media & Communications Track is a specialized Global Ambassador internship for creative and passionate storytellers who want to use their gifts in media, art, photography, videography, writing, and communication to make a difference.

As a Media Track Global Ambassador, you’ll go behind the scenes of real ministry and help tell stories of what God is doing through CFCI missionaries, local leaders, and communities around the world. You’ll use your creativity to capture moments, listen to people’s stories, create compelling content, and help connect others to the mission.

What You'll Do

Your experience will be shaped by your location, skills, and the needs of the ministry, but your internship could include:

  • Capture photos and video that show the people, places, and ministry behind the mission

  • Create short-form content for social media, including Reels and other engaging video

  • Interview and listen to missionaries, leaders, and teams to help share their stories

  • Write stories and updates for blogs, emails, newsletters, and other communications

  • Document ministry and community life in a way that helps others understand what God is doing

  • Create visual and written content that communicates the heart of the mission

  • Support local and global communications efforts through photography, videography, writing, design, and other creative skills

  • Help tell stories of transformation that inspire people to pray, give, go, and get involved

You won’t simply be creating content from a distance. You’ll be in the middle of the ministry, building relationships, listening to people, experiencing another culture, and discovering the stories worth telling.

Your creativity can do more than create.

It can help people see what they might never otherwise see. It can give a voice to stories that need to be heard. It can invite someone to pray, inspire someone to go, encourage someone to give, or help someone recognize what God is doing around the world.

Whether you’re a photographer, videographer, writer, graphic designer, social media creator, artist, storyteller, or simply someone who loves finding and sharing meaningful stories, the Media Track gives you an opportunity to use your creative gifts on mission.

This is more than creating content.

It’s about telling stories that point people to Jesus and help connect the global Church to what God is doing around the world.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

Our missionaries are long-term workers at each of our locations. At most of our bases, the local ministries are run by long-term missionaries who are native to the country and know the specific needs of the communities they serve. They intentionally and consistently follow-up with the communities your team ministers to.

Christ For the City International (CFCI) is all about living your faith in actionserving others, sharing hope, and seeing lives transformed by Jesus. Since 1995, weve come alongside people, churches, and communities to serve where God is already at work – locally and globally in ways that are bold, creative, and full of adventure.

Whether youre going across the street or across the world, theres a place for you to make a real impact. You might join an Urban Plunge in one of our 7 U.S. cities, serving for a weekend or up to a week, or travel on a Global Team to one of our 17 international bases, where youll work alongside local missionaries on projects like childrens programs, evangelism, construction, or medical outreach.

We partner with local churches and communities to bring hope, care, and opportunity to neighborhoods that need it most. Whether mentoring youth, supporting families, or empowering local leaders, our goal is to help people encounter Jesus and discover how they can make a difference.

With 500+ missionaries serving through 130+ ministries in 17 countries, CFCI isnt just an organizationits a movement. From teens stepping out on their first mission trip to young parents modeling a life of service, theres a place for everyone to jump in, grow, and see the world change one city at a time.
