What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Teach. Encourage. Build Relationships.
Use your time and gifts to help kids learn, grow in confidence, and experience the love of Jesus.
Through CFCI Colombia, your team will partner with local ministry leaders to serve children and families through after-school tutoring, English education, mentoring, and relationship-building. You don't have to be a professional teacher—just come ready to listen, encourage, serve, and love kids well.
This trip is a great fit for teachers, educators, students, families, young adults, youth groups, churches, and anyone who loves working with kids. You don't need a teaching degree or years of classroom experience. You just need a willingness to serve, learn, and build relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Partner with local ministry leaders who are already investing in children, families, and communities.
-
Help with after-school tutoring by working alongside students on homework, reading, school assignments, and other educational needs.
-
Teach and practice English through conversation, games, activities, and creative lessons designed to make learning fun.
-
Build meaningful relationships with children and students by listening, encouraging, playing, and spending intentional time together.
-
Create a safe and encouraging environment where students feel seen, valued, and supported as they learn and grow.
-
Serve beyond the classroom through games, activities, community outreach, prayer, and other ministry opportunities as needs arise.
-
Share the love of Jesus through your words, actions, compassion, and willingness to invest in the lives of students and their families.
You’ll fly into Cartagena, Colombia, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local leaders and communities.

Mission Trip Offered By Christ For the City International
Christ For the City International (CFCI) is all about living your faith in actionserving others, sharing hope, and seeing lives transformed by Jesus. Since 1995, weve come alongside people, churches, and communities to serve where God is already at work – locally and globally in ways that are bold, creative, and full of adventure.
Whether youre going across the street or across the world, theres a place for you to make a real impact. You might join an Urban Plunge in one of our 7 U.S. cities, serving for a weekend or up to a week, or travel on a Global Team to one of our 17 international bases, where youll work alongside local missionaries on projects like childrens programs, evangelism, construction, or medical outreach.
We partner with local churches and communities to bring hope, care, and opportunity to neighborhoods that need it most. Whether mentoring youth, supporting families, or empowering local leaders, our goal is to help people encounter Jesus and discover how they can make a difference.
With 500+ missionaries serving through 130+ ministries in 17 countries, CFCI isnt just an organizationits a movement. From teens stepping out on their first mission trip to young parents modeling a life of service, theres a place for everyone to jump in, grow, and see the world change one city at a time.
