Use your skills, creativity, and willingness to teach to equip others with practical skills while building relationships and sharing the love of Jesus.

Through a cosmetology and vocational training program in El Salvador, you’ll come alongside local ministry leaders to teach practical skills that can create opportunities for participants and their families.

Training can include hairstyling, makeup, and nail care for women, along with barbering for men. You’ll have the opportunity to share your expertise through hands-on instruction while encouraging participants and building meaningful relationships.

This trip is ideal for cosmetologists, hairstylists, barbers, nail technicians, makeup artists, vocational instructors, church groups, and anyone with relevant skills who is willing to teach and serve in a cross-cultural setting. You don’t have to be a professional instructor. Whether you’ve been working in the beauty industry for years or simply have skills you’re excited to share, there’s a place for you on the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Teach practical cosmetology skills including hairstyling, makeup, nail care, and barbering.
• Equip participants with vocational skills they can continue developing and use to create new opportunities.
• Encourage and build confidence through hands-on training and personal connection.
• Build relationships through teaching by working alongside local ministry leaders and program participants.
• Share the love of Jesus through your time, skills, encouragement, and willingness to invest in others.
• Serve alongside local leaders and communities while staying at one of our local CFCI bases.

You’ll fly into San Salvador, El Salvador, and stay in a Christ For the City International guesthouse while experiencing ministry alongside local leaders and communities.

Sometimes ministry looks like leading worship or sharing your testimony. Sometimes it looks like teaching someone how to cut hair, style hair, apply makeup, or care for their nails.

You don’t need to know how to do everything. You just need to be willing to share what you know and serve.
