What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Want to bring Jesus' love and hope to the nations? The nations are at our doorstep here in NYC.
Your families/team will receive orientation upon arrival at the Priority 1 facilities, located in the Bronx, NY, and you'll serve with established churches/ministries throughout New York City to tutor & encourage children in after-school programs; distribute food/groceries to disadvantaged families & homeless; volunteer at a distribution center; do prayer walk and/or the "AmazinGRace" photo-scavenger hunt; and participate in conversational evangelism. NYC ministries have made adjustments to their protocols in order to observe safety precautions for both groups serving as well as the people being served.
(Trips are customized according to desires and abilities of your group.)
Your group will be stretched, challenged, and grow spiritually as they touch lives in the inner-city.

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals
NYC Encounter teams serve with established under-staffed inner-city ministries (e.g. food pantries, soup kitchens, after-school programs, Christian schools, etc) who directly serve the homeless & needy families (esp children). These ministries will also provide follow-up for those whose lives have been touched by your service.
