What the Mission Trip Will Be Like
Interact with the Timorese people and explore the island's rich culture as you serve alongside others in various ministries. Be challenged as you discover God's heart for the people here, and for a short time be a part of what He is doing here.
We Are Looking For People Who:
- Love the Lord Jesus
- Are open to be mentored spiritually before, during and after the trip.
East Timor or Timor Leste is one of the newest countries in the world. It is located on an island that it shares with Indonesia, from whom they gained independence. It was once a Portuguese colony. The WEC workers are a multucultural team with whom the Dive Into team will work alongside. Ministries will include working with children, teaching language (you can help someone learn English, Portuguese or Korean). There will also be a visit to a local Bible Institute to experience community life there.
Participants will participate in a pre-field orientation in Philadelphia PA.at the WEC USA headquarters campus. There will also be online team building sessions to get to know your team members from all over the world. There will be an on-field orientation, rest, debrief and tourism days as well. After the trip, you will return to Philadelphia for a 4 day debriefing before returning home.
